Mindset Espresso #2 — Game of life, happiness, and free pictures
I like to start my day with a little cup of coffee — espresso. It makes my day better, wakes me up and fills me with energy.
And while I sit there, enjoying the taste of the roasted coffee beans, I tend to read/listen to something that widens my knowledge. So I decided to write something especially for occasions like this.
Think of this quick article as a small espresso shot for your brain.
Here are the three things I want to share with you every week:
1. Something I am currently reading
My relentless quest to turn my life into a game by Luke Mac
Luke talks about how we came up with the idea to improve his life by using principles from video games. In a quick, 10-min article Luke guides you through his process of creating a game out of his life.
I've been fascinated by using principles of videos games in my own life, and this article was a huge inspiration.

2. Quote or thought that stuck with me
“Achieving life happiness is all about learning to be happy on a routine weekday.” — Tim Urban
Being full of joy and happiness on the amazing days filled with success, or on a vacation is easy. Being happy for life comes from the ability to enjoy even the average, routine weekday.
Don't live for the weekends, don't live for the “I just sold a huge client” days, don't live for the “I am in Bali, drinking coconut water from a coconut while lying in a net on a beach” days.
Live for all the other days as well, there will certainly be more of them.
3. Interesting app/product/service I am using
Unsplash
Unsplash is definitely on my list of all-time favorite apps ever. And I am not exaggerating.
This website is basically a huge database of free-to-use, high-quality photographs. I even used it for this article's cover photo. One of the handiest tools for any content creator out there.
That’s it for today. See you next week!
